TEEJAY: Good evening King IB May we know you?

King IB: I am Ibraheem Awwal Sanee Keffi, popularly known as King IB, i do trap music with hausa. A native of Nasarawa state; keffi precisely and hausa fulani by tribe. A graduate of ATBU, Bauchi.

TEEJAY: What first got you into music?

King IB: Expression; i wanted to express my feelings, my emotions, my story.

TEEJAY: Who or what inspired you to make music?

King IB: Where i come from inspires me, how i grew up, the survival is enough inspiration.

TEEJAY: How would you describe the music that you typically create?

King IB: My music is quiet different from what you listen to these days, i do trap music the bilingual way; Hausa majorly and bit of English. I created music of good storylines and creative arewa trap vibes, that would leave you relating to every word you listen to in my music while shaking your heads.

TEEJAY: What is your creative process like?

King IB: Honestly, it has been God, me; ‘ah just trust the process, believe in all of it’

TEEJAY: Who would you like to collaborate with the most?

King IB: Dreams come through, a whole lot on the list! ‘… from Meek Mill, Lil Durk, Roddy, Nafe Smallz, YCee, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Yung6ix, whole lotta… Allah gani gareka’

TEEJAY: Where are your favorite Venue?

King IB: Venue, anywhere the crowd vibes the most… ‘Buh frankly bah; it would forever be home; Keffi. The love from my people is something else, ah love ‘em from my heart… KEFFI GIDA!’

TEEJAY: How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

King IB: Without the internet a lot wouldn’t have happened, it plays a big vital role. We now get to meet other entertaining and like minds, it sends our creativity across the globe.

TEEJAY: Which is your favorite song ?

King IB: From me i love my YANE Song, and the new sound i dropped THRU IT ALL; highly creative trap vibes. Then not from me, got love for Lil’ Durk, Travis, Meek Mill, and Future; anyday anytime.

TEEJAY: Which famous musicians do you admire?

King IB: Future, Meek Mill, Travis, Lil Durk, K-Trap, most plenty other creatives.

TEEJAY: What is the best advice you’ve ever been given as it relates to music?

King IB: Everyday it’s from this advice to that advice; i just do what I believe is good for the brand and myself, so i push me regardless how thick the advice can be.

TEEJAY: If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

King IB: That attention and investment in the industry should be shown to us rising Northern acts.

TEEJAY: Have you ever dealt with performance Anxiety?

King IB: It happens quiet much, but all i do is remain calm and trust my instincts.

TEEJAY: Tell me about your favorite performance

King IB: YANE Listening Party… that’s the dopest I’ve every had, the attention, crowd, everything you can think of!

TEEJAY: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

King IB: I see me sitting with lil durk, travis, talking music business ova good food ‘… ah love good food!’

TEEJAY: What are some of the challenges you face as an independent Artist?

King IB: “…ah have to do everything on my own, THRU IT ALL… babbah and e nor funny”

TEEJAY: Lastly, What advice do you have for upcoming artist looking up to you?

King IB: ‘THRU IT ALL.. Keep pushing, never stop believing, Allah baya barci…’
